Dr. Deepika Singh manages the operations of Sinmat and oversees all the technology and development efforts. Dr. Singh has over 15 years experience working in a technical and managerial capacity. At Enegizer Power systems she was awarded 6 patents and has over 30 Journal Publications. She has been an invited speaker at many conferences as well as institutions such as the National Science Foundation. She has extensive experience in the fields of CMP, particle coatings, electrochemical phenomena and thin films. She received her BS from NC State University, and masters and doctoral degrees in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Florida (UF) and Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland, respectively. Co-Founder and Vice President - Rajiv Singh, Ph.D.
Recognized as a leader in the field of materials science, Dr. Singh brings technological leadership to the firm. He is the inventor of Sinmat's CMP technologies and is considered as one of the leading academic experts in the world in the field of CMP. He was awarded/filed 15 U.S. patents with two commercial software copyrights. As a Professor at the University of Florida, he authored over 400 refereed papers and 8 books. He received his MS and Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from North Carolina State University, and his bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Jadavpur University in Calcutta, India. Chief Corporate Development Officer - David Massias
Before joining Sinmat, Inc., David was a partner with the V2R Group, focused on acquiring and commercializing university technologies, and a member of the PWC's mergers and acquisitions group in their New York City and Chicago offices since 2000. David was recently honored with the 2008 Outstanding Faculty Award from the Masters of Science in Entrepreneurship Program at the Warrington College of Business at UF. Over the last decade he advised strategic and financial buyers on their acquisitive structuring and due diligence requirements, which included GUS plc, Cerberus, New York Yankees, Bain Capital and AT&T to name a few. Prior to that David was with Buckingham Doolittle & Burroughs, specifically within reorganizations, spin-offs and multiple forms of divestitures and joint-ventures. During the 1990's, he provided, M&A guidance to TRW, Inc., and substantial research and development within the offices of the US Securities and Exchange Commission located in Miami, Florida. Vice President, Business Development (Europe) - Pankaj Agarwal, Ph.D., MBA
Dr. Agarwal has more than 10 years experience in sales and marketing. He recently founded a company named Panitek GmbH in Germany, before which he served as the Managing Director of Fideris Test Solutions GmbH, a fully owned subsidiary of Fideris Inc., a leading provider of Fuel Cell testing solutions. He has a degree in chemical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India; an MBA from the Rotterdam School of Management, Rotterdam, The Netherlands; and a PhD in chemical engineering from the University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida. Dr. Pearton is a Distinguished Professor in the Material Science Department at the University of Florida. He has extensive knowledge of the semiconductor industry and extensive network with companies. He is considered a leading authority in the world in the area of wide bandgap semiconductors.
Legal Consultant - Booker Schmidt, J.D.
Booker Schmidt is the Director of the Gainesville Technology Incubator where Sinmat is located. He provides advice on all legal issues, patents, industry alliances, collaboration and licensing.
Marketing Consultant - Phil Bennett, Ph.D.
Dr. Bennett advises Sinmat on various marketing issues. He was previously a technical marketing manager at Energizer Power Systems where he was responsible for technology transfer, new product introduction, and technical issues related to marketing. He possesses over 20 years of technical marketing expertise.
Business Consultant - Erik Sander
Erik's career spans a broad range of professional experiences. Erik was a Principal for Cenetec Ventures, a private technology incubator and early stage venture fund, and grew several successful start-up companies. Since Sinmat's inception, Erik has been responsible for providing executive level advisory services to Sinmat. He also provides business direction and brings academic and key business alliances to the table.
